Getting Started

How do I create my first inspection?

After downloading the app, tap the "+" button on the home screen. Select "New Inspection," choose a template or start from scratch, and begin adding photos, voice notes, and checklist items. When you are ready to generate the final report, use one credit.

Do I need to purchase credits immediately?

No! You can explore all features, create inspections, add photos and notes, and organize your data for free. You only need to purchase credits when you want to generate and export a final inspection report.

How do I purchase credits?

Tap the "Credits" or "Pricing" section in the app menu. Choose your preferred credit package (Starter, Popular, or Best Value) and complete the purchase through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing.

Using the App

How do voice notes work?

Tap the microphone icon during an inspection to record a voice note. Your recording will be automatically transcribed to text. You can edit the transcription or keep both the audio and text for your records.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes! You can capture photos, record voice notes, and create inspections offline. Your data will sync to the cloud when you reconnect to the internet.

How do I create custom inspection templates?

Go to Settings > Templates > Create New Template. Add checklist items, sections, and custom fields that you want to reuse for future inspections. Save the template and select it when starting new inspections.

What photo formats are supported?

The app supports JPEG, PNG, and HEIC image formats. Photos are automatically optimized for report generation while maintaining high quality.

Can I annotate photos?

Yes! After capturing a photo, tap on it to add arrows, circles, text labels, and other annotations to highlight specific issues or areas of interest.

Reports & Export

What does a generated report include?

Reports include all photos with captions and annotations, transcribed voice notes, checklist results, inspection metadata (date, location, inspector name), and a professional summary. Reports are formatted as polished PDF documents.

How do I share reports with clients?

After generating a report, tap the "Share" button. You can email the PDF directly, save it to cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive), or share via messaging apps.

Can I regenerate a report without using another credit?

Once a report is generated, you can export and share it as many times as needed at no additional cost. However, if you make significant changes to the inspection and want to generate a new version, that will require another credit.

Credits & Billing

Do credits expire?

No! Credits never expire. Purchase them whenever you need and use them at your own pace.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled through Apple or Google Play Store policies. Generally, purchases are final, but exceptions may be made for technical issues, duplicate charges, or prolonged service unavailability. Contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for refund requests.

Do you offer subscriptions?

Currently, we use a credit-based model rather than subscriptions. This gives you more flexibility to pay only for what you use without recurring monthly fees.

Can I transfer credits to another account?

Credits are tied to individual accounts and cannot be transferred. However, if you are switching devices or accounts, contact [email protected] and we will help you migrate your credits.

Privacy & Security

Where is my data stored?

Your inspection data, photos, and audio recordings are securely stored on encrypted cloud servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I delete my data?

Yes! You can delete individual inspections or your entire account through the app settings. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Do you monitor the content I upload?

No. We do not monitor, review, or verify user-uploaded content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your photos and recordings comply with applicable laws and do not infringe on third-party rights.

Is the app GDPR compliant?

Yes. We comply with GDPR requirements for users in the European Economic Area. You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing or freezing. What should I do?

First, try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, restart your device. Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed. If problems continue, contact [email protected] with details about your device model and iOS/Android version.

My photos are not uploading. How do I fix this?

Check your internet connection. Photos require a stable connection to upload to cloud storage. If you are on a slow connection, large photos may take time to upload. You can also try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data.

Voice transcription is not working correctly.

Ensure you have granted microphone permissions to the app. Speak clearly and in a quiet environment for best results. Transcription accuracy improves with clear audio. You can always manually edit transcriptions after recording.

I am not receiving notifications.

Check your device notification settings for Punchlist. Go to Settings > Notifications > Punchlist and ensure notifications are enabled. Also verify that Do Not Disturb mode is not active.

Account Management

How do I change my email address?

Go to Settings > Account > Email Address and enter your new email. You will need to verify the new email address before the change takes effect.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. You will receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you do not see the email.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action is permanent and will delete all your inspections, photos, and data within 30 days. Unused credits will be forfeited.
